Ajman University’s Office of Sustainability Organizes First Aid Awareness Session

The Office of Sustainability at Ajman University organized a first aid awareness session aimed at equipping faculty members, staff, and students with essential skills in first aid and CPR techniques. The session sought to raise awareness on how to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations, enabling attendees to handle critical situations with confidence until professional medical help arrives.

The session, led by Abdulrahman Ahmed Al-Muraqab, a first-year Nursing student at the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences with a certified first aid qualification, covered the basics of administering first aid in cases of burns, wounds, fractures, and choking. The session also provided detailed explanations on CPR techniques and how to correctly apply them in cases of respiratory or cardiac arrest. Additionally, the importance of prompt action and taking the right first aid steps until specialized medical help arrives was emphasized, enhancing the participants’ ability to manage emergencies effectively and with confidence.

Through such initiatives, the Office of Sustainability at Ajman University aims to foster an academically aware community that understands the significance of first aid and CPR techniques, contributing to creating a safer and more resilient environment for handling emergencies.
