Ajman University Joins “For Our Emirates We Plant” and Contributes to Planting 3,023 Local Seedlings of Al Samer Trees
The Office of Sustainability at Ajman University participated in the annual event "For Our Emirates, We Plant" organized by the Emirates Environmental Group on December 17th, 2022, in Al Munaeei area, Ras Al Khaimah, under the patronage of Sheikh Engineer Salem bin Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi, the President of the Civil Aviation Department in Ras Al Khaimah.
Around 1,200 volunteers from various government and private institutions across the country participated in this special afforestation event and planted 3,023 local seedlings of Al Samer trees. Ajman University's COO Mr. Rabi Al Khofash actively contributed to this initiative, reinforcing the University’s commitment to support the UAE's strategic vision for climate neutrality and its efforts to achieve this strategy through expanding its community engagement in environmental activities.
In addition to tree planting initiatives, the University emphasizes its support for other sustainable programs and initiatives. It strives to enhance environmental awareness and sustainability among its members and promote a culture of responsibility and environmental consciousness. Through continuous participation in such events, the University aims to be an integral part of the UAE's journey towards a greener and more sustainable future.
